Outline of Research at the Start

日本人の約20％が睡眠障害を抱えており、その半数がストレスに起因するとされている。しかし、不眠症の発症メカニズムは未だ不明であり、結果として睡眠/覚醒サイクルを強制的にコントロールしているのが現状である。本研究では、現状を打開するため、応募者らが最近得た知見を基に、独自の方法論を駆使して睡眠障害の詳細な分子・神経基盤を解明し、新たな治療法の確立に貢献する。
