Outline of Research at the Start

がん細胞は多様性に富む不均一な細胞集団であり、この多様性ががんの悪性度や治療抵抗性を高める根源となっている。そのため、がん細胞が多様性を獲得する分子機構の解明は、がん治療やがんの本質を理解するために極めて重要である。本研究計画では、膵がんで起きているエピゲノム改変因子(EpiModifiers)の機能異常が、がん細胞の多様性を引き起こし、これが悪性化や治療抵抗性の獲得に寄与している仮説に基づき 、EpiModifiersの機能異常がもたらすがん細胞の多様性及び治療抵抗性獲得機構を明らかにする。
