Outline of Research at the Start

過去の記憶を思い出せるかどうかは、思い出す時点での生物個体の状態によってダイナミックに変動する。テストでどんなに考えても思い出せなかったことが、後でふとした瞬間に思い出せることがある。しかし従来の生物学的な記憶研究の多くは、記憶が作られる時点や固定化される時点での脳内メカニズム（シナプス可塑性や遺伝子発現）に焦点が当てられ、記憶を思い出すこと（想起）は記憶痕跡の単純な出力のように見なされてきたために研究が遅れていた。本研究では、記憶の想起を調節する「想起シグナル」の神経回路メカニズム解明を目的として研究を実施する。
