Outline of Research at the Start

アデノ随伴ウイルスベクター（AAV）を用いる遺伝子治療は難病治療に革新的な成果を上げつつある。ミクログリアはさまざまな神経疾患の発症に関与することから、ミクログリアへの遺伝子発現を可能にするAAVは神経疾患の遺伝子治療ツールとして極めて有望である。本研究では、静脈内投与で脳のミクログリアだけに効率的に遺伝子発現が起こるAAVの開発を行う。得られたミクログリア標的AAVベクターを用いてアルツハイマー病モデルマウスの作出及び、治療法の開発を行う。
