Outline of Research at the Start

強迫性障害(OCD)の病態生理のひとつとして大脳基底核を主軸としたOCDループ仮説が提唱されているが、「強迫性障害(OCD)の病態・治療に関与する詳細な神経科学的なメカニズム」は未解明である。このため、OCDの病態生理解明に結びつく基礎的研究は進んでおらず、新規治療薬の開発や脳深部刺激療法(DBS)を含めたニューロモデュレーション治療が本邦では導入に至れないことが喫緊の問題と言える。本研究ではこの問題解決を目的に、これまでの研究代表者が行ってきた霊長類やラットを用いた電気生理学的手法を主軸とした基礎実験によってOCDの病態形成メカニズムの解明を最終目標とする。
