Outline of Research at the Start

サル痘を含むオルソポックス属ウイルス感染もしくは天然痘ワクチン接種により産生される抗体の抗原認識パターンは、サル痘感染予防や重症化予防に大きく関与する。同属ウイルスの抗原を認識する抗体が感染防御にどれほど寄与するかについてはよく分かっていない。本研究では、サル痘パンデミックにあたり日本における同属ウイルス感染に対する真の感染防御能の把握を目的として、天然痘ワクチン接種後のサル痘に対する交差免疫を明らかにする。
