Outline of Research at the Start

遺伝子診断技術の進歩に伴い、がん抑制遺伝子の変異に起因する「がん体質」に対する積極的予防法『先制医療』の重要性が高まっているが、その開発が追い付いていない。多発性内分泌腫瘍症1型（MEN1）は発症前診断が可能だが、膵臓など複数の臓器に腫瘍が多発する。MEN1遺伝子の変異により、内分泌組織においてp27、p18の発現が低下し、RBの失活、細胞のがん化が促進することが明らかとなっている。
本研究では、未発症MEN1遺伝子変異保有者に対する先制医療戦略として、p27、p18の機能を代償しうる薬剤や、RBを再活性化しうる素材の活用について、MEN1で特に頻度の高い膵がんを対象に、基礎医学的に検証する。
