Outline of Research at the Start

心臓性突然死は内因性突然死の原因として最多である。とくに働き盛りの中年男性に起こりやすく、その社会的影響は大きい。中年期の心臓性突然死の背景には、肥満や高血圧などの生活習慣病があり、慢性ストレスによる心筋のリモデリングが突然死の素因となっている。
心臓のポンプ作用を担う左室壁の筋肉は、解剖学的に内縦走筋・中輪状筋・外縦走筋の３層に分けられ、走行の異なる心筋群が共働して心臓の精緻な収縮能を維持している。本研究では、心臓タンパク質の異方的発現変化が心臓性突然死の素因となっている、という仮説を検証する。
本研究の達成により、心臓性突然死の正確な死後診断法と発症予防法の確立が期待される。
