Outline of Research at the Start

非アルコール性脂肪肝疾患（NAFLD）の一部は、肝線維化を伴う非アルコール性脂肪肝炎（NASH）へと進行する。興味深いことに、NASHへと進行するのはNAFLD患者の10 ～20 %である。すなわち、NASH進行には何らかのスイッチが存在し、その同定はNASHの予防・治療法への応用に繋がる。本研究では、肝線維化の責任細胞である肝星細胞（HSC）において、非膜型細胞小器官p62液滴が炎症刺激により活性化されるシグナル伝達経路の決定因子であり、p62液滴の減少がHSC活性化を介したNASH進行へのトリガーとなる、という仮説の証明を目指す。
