Outline of Research at the Start

肥満や2型糖尿病に罹患した母親から生まれた子供において生活習慣病の発症率が高いことが明らかになっているが、そのメカニズムはよくわかっていない。実験動物を用いた研究から、卵子におけるゲノムによらない変化がその成因に寄与することが示唆されていることから、本研究では高脂肪食による卵子の脂質組成の変化が出生後の脂質代謝を変化させることで肥満を惹起する可能性を検証する。さらに、その機序および卵子の脂質組成が変化するタイムコース、脂質組成の変化を抑制する食品成分を明らかにすることで、妊娠前の女性や妊婦を対象とした子どもの肥満予防法を確立するための学術基盤を構築する。
