Outline of Research at the Start

多様性に基づく脳型計算の数理的基盤を構築し、実在系の多様性に沿う革新的コンピューティング技術を開拓する。演算素子の多様性・不均一性を考慮した脳型計算システム・アルゴリズムを開発して、機械学習タスクにおける計算性能の向上および柔軟な情報処理の実現を目指す。また、学習過程や学習済みのシステムの数理解析により、多様性が学習・推論に与える効果を明らかにし、脳神経回路における多様性の意義を考察する。さらに、微細素子の特性ばらつきを活用する脳型計算システムの設計方法を検討する。
