Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、1）アジアでの航空機観測試料、2）北極の混合雲から直接採取した雲の残渣粒子試料や北極エアロゾル試料、3）世界各地で採取されたアーカイブ試料を対象に、ナノスケールでエアロゾル粒子を解析する独自の電子顕微鏡分析と固体粒子分析及び氷晶核能測定を実施する。その結果をもとに、自然起源エアロゾル粒子混合体の大気存在量推定、混合過程の解明、氷晶実験を行うことで「自然起源エアロゾル粒子は混合状態によって氷晶核能を変化させ、その結果として氷晶を含んだ雲の形成に影響を与えるのでは？」との仮説を検証し、最終的に自然起源エアロゾル粒子が雲の生成や気候に与える影響の解明を目指す。
