Outline of Research at the Start

世界的な問題である薬剤耐性の伝播経路として病院排水が注目され、拡散の制御には病院排水中薬剤耐性の詳細な調査が重要だが、従来の培養法では薬剤耐性菌の検出感度が低く、また先端的なメタゲノム解析では薬剤耐性の正確な識別や追跡ができず、環境中薬剤耐性の包括的精査は困難であった。本研究では、病院排水中薬剤耐性菌の遺伝的性質・薬剤耐性拡散能力と、病院排水における微生物叢の動的・静的な役割を示すため、個々の薬剤耐性菌と病院排水の高精度なゲノムデータを取得する。更には各結果の統合により未知の難培養性薬剤耐性菌の実態を明確にし、培養法や各種解析条件の最適化により適切な環境中薬剤耐性の検出法を構築する。
