Outline of Research at the Start

アフリカの共有林は、農民の家畜の飼料や燃料の供給源として重要な役割を果たしているが、農民の共有林保全のモティベーションを高めるためのインセンティブのあり方が問題となっている。本研究は、エチオピアにおいて、共有林の保全活動に参加するためのインセンティブと農民のモティベーションとの関係を明らかにする。まず、金銭的インセンティブと共有林保全のモティベーションの関係を調べる。次に、共有林保全のモティベーションが上がるような金銭以外のインセンティブとはどのようなものか検討する。それによって農民の自律的な保全活動を促すインセンティブのあり方を示す。
