Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、200 MHzにおいて壁損失が80 kW以下でピーク電流量50 mAの陽子ビーム加速が可能なTE211モードSCHリニアックの原理実証と、その加速器特性及び低エネルギー領域の陽子線形加速器における優位性の解明を目的としている。具体的には、①3次元電磁場シミュレーション及び粒子軌道計算コードを駆使して目標性能(壁損失:80 kW以下、ピークビーム電流量:50 mA、加速器全長1.5 m以下)を満たすTE211モードSHCをデザインし、原理実証機を製作する。次に、②原理実証機の低電力試験とチューナーによる電場分布調整をおこない高周波特性(共振周波数、無負荷Q値、電場分布)を評価する。
