Outline of Research at the Start

ホウ素中性子捕捉療法（BNCT）は、がん細胞の殺傷能力が高く優れたポテンシャルを秘めているものの、最終的には再発・転移により完治に至らないケースが多い。この原因の一つとして、がん関連マクロファージ（TAM）の関与が挙げられる。本研究では、TAM M2→M1極性制御剤をbet a-1,3-グルカンをキャリアとするDDSにより効率的・選択的にM2マクロファージに送達し、TAM極性制御によるがん微小環境の悪化を防ぎ、がん免疫活性を増強し、BNCTにおける併用増感効果等の影響を検討することを目的とする。
