Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、工学的な視点から聴覚メカニズムを解明し、聴覚疾患の機序を明らかにすること、得られた知見に基づき聴覚医療における新たな診断技術、治療技術を創出することにある。現在、圧縮性リンパ液を想定した蝸牛の流体力学モデルを完成させ、全可聴周波域において近似計算を排除した「汎用性の高い蝸牛モデル」の開発に成功した。また、これをもとに各種聴覚疾患モデル（外リンパ瘻、突発性難聴、内耳気腫、真樹種、正円窓の骨化、メニエール病など）を設計し、推定される難聴特性と臨床医療データを比較検討することで、開発した聴覚疾患モデルの有用性を検討している最中である。今後は聴覚の全容解明と診断治療技術の向上を目指す。
