Outline of Research at the Start

強磁場および極低温を組み合わせた複合極限環境では，多彩な磁場誘起現象が発現しうる．しかし複合極限環境における実験的研究は困難で， 極限的な強磁場・低温環境は人類未踏の研究領域であった．本研究では, 研究代表者と10年以上共同研究を進めてきたフランスの研究グループに複数回にわたって滞在し，60 T・100 mKまでの極限環境で熱伝導・熱ホール，ゼーベック・ネルンスト効果，磁気熱量効果等の多岐に渡る熱測定技術を開発する．研究分担者や研究協力者らも随時参加し，各々で極限環境での装置開発を進めるとともに，開発した技術を用いて現代の物性物理学の中心的トピックスである磁場誘起現象の解明を目指す．
