Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は発展途上国の地震災害を背景に，組積造壁の低い耐震性に起因する災害を抜本的に解消するための一つの可能性について検討する．提案する方法は，木材を天然資源として保有する発展途上国において，一般にセラミクス材料より構築される組積造壁を木質材料に置換する方法である．本研究ではインドネシアを研究フィールドと設定し，提案法の実現可能性を探索する．期待する成果が得られると，同国の地震防災力の改善に資することはもとより，建材の木質化による地球環境の負荷軽減への貢献が視野に入る．次世代の建築耐震技術の可能性をわが国とインドネシアの若手研究者が過半の研究組織による共同研究より明らかにする．
