Outline of Research at the Start

強磁性、反強磁性、フェリ磁性などの磁性の分類において、近年新たな磁性＝“交互磁性”が理論的に提案されており、実験的研究が盛んに行われている。本研究では、従来の実験的研究とは全く異なるアプローチで、磁性多層膜を用いて交互磁性を人工的に実現し、交互磁性の本質を調査することを目的とする。本研究目的の達成には、交互磁性により生じるスピン流やスピン分極の検出技術が不可欠である。そこで、世界最先端のスピン流・スピン分極検出技術を有するデンバー大学のFan准教授との国際共同研究を行う。
