Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、「化学的多様性が作り出す複雑な構造と機能の相関を解明できるのか？」という学術的「問い」に答える。生体系では限られた分子（核酸 5 種類、アミノ酸 20 種類）から、その配列を制御することで化学的に多様な高分子（DNA やタンパク質）を作り出す。人工系材料では高分子中での分子の自在配列及び構造同定が困難な一方で、高エントロピー合金のように多くの要素を混合し多様性を向上させ新機能を生み出す。本研究では、金属錯体多面体の幾何構造により分子配列を空間に固定すると同時に、異なる金属イオンの混合により化学的多様性を持つ化合物群を作り出し、構造同定及び触媒活性能の探索を行うことを目的とする。
