Outline of Research at the Start

タンパク質が異常に凝集してアミロイドを形成し細胞内外に蓄積することが、様々な神経変性疾患共通の発症原因と考えられている。本研究においては研究代表者らが独自に開発した光酸素化触媒を用いた細胞内酸素化アミロイド除去機構について、海外共同研究体制によりオートファジーが介在するメカニズムの解明を目的として研究を遂行する。
