Outline of Research at the Start

本国際共同研究では口唇口蓋の形成ならびに歯の形成過程における口腔組織を、DNAバーコード標識レクチンを応用した超高解像度・超高感度の空間トランスクリプトミクス解析にて糖鎖情報と遺伝子発現情報を同時に取得し、各細胞の持つ遺伝子情報と糖鎖情報を空間的な情報と統合し、“口腔糖鎖アトラス”の創出を目指す。さらに、口腔糖鎖アトラスを応用し、エネルギー代謝関連遺伝子の発現から糖鎖とエネルギー代謝の連関について検索する。また、先天性糖鎖形成異常症の原因遺伝子の発現部位と糖鎖構造や修飾との関連を調べ、機能解析を行うことで病態発症メカニズムの解明に挑む。
