Outline of Research at the Start

骨組織は周囲環境の力学刺激に応じて形態や機能を調節することの出来る高い適応性を有する。その理由の一つは、骨細胞が力学刺激を感知し、骨細胞ネットワークを介したメカノトランスダクションシグナル伝達によって、骨リモデリングを誘導するためである。しかし、これらの力学刺激に対して骨組織の応答能力およびそのシグナル伝達については不明な点が多く、これを解明するには単一骨細胞への力学刺激の付与を骨の中で行う必要がある。そこで、本研究では骨組織中に存在する生きた骨細胞に局所的な力学刺激を加える新たな手法を開発し、骨メカノトランスダクション分野において、骨基質中での細胞応答の研究に飛躍的な発展を目指す。
