Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、多様な分野の知見や技術を統合することにより、絵画の質感を忠実かつ効果的に再現するための理論的・実践的な新たな手法を構築する。スペイン外光派の画家Joaquin Sorollaに着目し、Sorollaが作品に表現 した自然光の特性や絵画の質感に関する物理情報を現地測定する。さらに、絵画における光環境の表現方法を物質科学と光学の両面から検討し、絵画表面の物理量と鑑賞者の心理量の関係を感性評価実験により定量的に分析することで、鑑賞者の特性の違いも考慮した感性評価システムを構築し、絵画表面の質感に鑑賞者の関心を集める展示手法や、質感情報を保存するデジタルアーカイブ手法を開発する。
