Outline of Research at the Start	災害（disaster）は、被災地域の経済にどのような影響をもたらすのか。この重要な問いに対して、さまざまな分野で研究が行われてきた。特に都市経済学では、災害が都市形成に影響を与え、そこでの経済活動を長期に亘り規定する経路依存を生み出す可能性が指摘されている。このような問題関心に基づいて本研究課題は、1923年の関東大震災に焦点を当て、それが東京市内における人口の時空間分布に与えた短期・長期的影響を明らかにする。
