| Outline of Research at the Start |
FASER 実験は LHC のビーム衝突点から接線方向 480 m に検出器を設置し、MeV から GeV の質量をもつ新粒子の探索と、TeV のエネルギーをもつニュートリノの研究を推進している。本研究を通じ、2026年上半期に終了する LHC Run 3 における検出器の改善と取得データの解析、さらに 2030年ごろから開始する LHC Run 4 に向けた新しい施設の設計と実験の検討を主導する。
