Outline of Final Research Achievements

We developed a Torsion-bar Antenna, which has good sensitivity to gravitational waves at low frequency around 0.1-1Hz. We improved the sensitivity and carried out observation runs. The obtained data was analyzed for search of gravitational wave signals. As a result, we found no gravitational wave signal, and set updated upper limits on stochastic background gravitational waves, inspiral of intermediate-mass black-hole binaries. We also developed a new suspension configuration to have all-sky sensitivity, active vibration isolation system, inductive coil actuator, monolithic optical bench, reduction scheme of coupling from displacement degree of freedom.
