Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Neutron diffraction revealed that both SrTaO2N and LaTiO2N oxynitride perovskites have cis-configuration in O4N2 octahedra around B site cation. This coordination leads to local polarity induced dielectric property in these oxynitrides. About 30% of nitrogen is released from them above about 950℃ and 800℃, respectively. Sintering aid such as SrCN2 is effectrive to prepare dielectric ceramics of these oxynitrides to compencating both Sr and N together.
