Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have conducted the deep transcriptome and metabolite analyses on the representative medicinal plants grown in Japan. By the transcriptomics analyses with a next-generation DNA sequencer, we have successfully assigned a number of genes presumably involved in the biosynthesis of pharmacologically-active ingredients in the Leguminous medicinal plants, Sophora flavescens and Pueraria lobata.
