Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research is a detailed case study into Panasonic co. paying a specific attention to the recurrent reforms in both organizational and operational fields in these years, which have been obliged to undertake to adapt to the ever increasing global competition. The research outcomes are two. Firstly, it has clarified the core unit of analysis which enables the consistent description of a series of management’s adaptive actions taken to tackle with the global competition. Secondly, it has fairly succeeded in describing managerial practices as a whole, covering the whole managerial functions including products development, purchasing, manufacturing, and marketing in the global-wide arena. In summary the research explored the key concept for describing globalization of firms.
