Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The Area of where dust emission frequency was high was located the south of 45 degrees North in 1990s. The area shift to the north of 45 degrees in 2000s was found using surface meteorological observations and the back trajectry technique. Correlation between estimated values of thermal inertia retrieved from a heat budget model of the earth surface and observed values of subsurface soil moisture was improved by improving the model. It allowed that the accuracy of estimating soil moisture distribution in the dust emission areas.
