The Consecutive Interpreting Approach is a foreign language instruction method in which ‘shadowing’ to enhance students’ prosodic awareness and ‘reproduction’ to induce their voluntary output are integrated. The paper based on this approach won the ELEC prize in 2012. Some of the remarkable effects to be noted are that the participants improved their listening skills significantly and that 96 students in the class succeeded in reproducing, orally and in writing, 82.3% of the passage which is comprised of about 200 words.
