Over 3 years 11 research-in-process meetings were held regarding “cross-dressing”.
The contents contrasted and compared various fields not specific in any period or region. Even though centered on clothing, the discussion extended to the body (voice included), and the general representation of “cross-dressing” was attained, and the definition of “cross-dressing” was discussed.
Furthermore, the symposium was held at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, where cross-dressing is very prominent, and we were able to attain a successful discussion among researchers and supporters that lead to a higher level of understanding of “comparative culture of cross-dressing”.
