Outline of Final Research Achievements |
One of the serious problems in Japan has been the presence of unskillful teachers in some schools. The Board of Education in each prefecture, as well as each designated city, instituted a system in which unskillful teachers were recognized and given in-service training at each Education Center. In February 2008, the “Guideline” for unskillful teachers was provided and the Renewal System of Teachers’ Certificate has been introduced since April 2009. To clarify how the system of in-service training of teachers had been going, we sent questionnaires regarding the system of in-service training to sixty five Boards of Education and received all data sheet (100%). Following, we visited twenty Education Centers for interviewing supervisors or teachers’ consultants. Also we published 3 data-reports and presented these data-reports to two Educational Associations.
