Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to compile reading materials for high school students consisting of stories that help students to identify with the characters and provide them with future positive models in order to create a better-equipped educational setting for extensive reading, based on the present recognition that one of the reasons for decreasing interest in classical literature is shortage of reading materials which facilitate learners to read extensively. In this study I attempt to produce educational materials using “Stories of children who overcome hardships” which encourage learners to think about their relationships to various environments. The effectiveness in teaching with the stories chosen has been verified clinically.
