Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Metallic materials with high strength and toughness possess fine microstructure. Microstructure is a pattern observed on/in a metal or alloy after etching and polishing under a high degree of magnification using microscopes. In the present study a new method which produces alloys with fine microstructure using structural and compositional fluctuation before precipitation was developed.
