Outline of Final Research Achievements

Integrin α5β1-mediated cell adhesion regulates a multitude of cellular responses, including proliferation, survival and cross-talk between different cellular signaling pathways. Here we analyzed whether N-glycosylation on integrin involved cell proliferation and supramolecular assembly. We identified specific N-glycosylation sites regulating cell prolification and supramolecular assembly. Furthermore, we found that Golgi phosphoprotein 3 (GOLPH3) regulates an efficient synthesis of N-glycosylation and cell migration.
