Based on the literature review, I decided to focus on the study of the communal land titling policy which is one of curtail policy for giving land tenue to local people group. Then, I carried out field work in the rural area of Sangthong district, Vientiane municipality, where the government implemented communal land titling policy at only this area in Laos.
As a result, each individual rural villagers do not consider that the communal land titling is important. On the other hand, they regarded the private land titling programme as important for securing their own land.
