Outline of Final Research Achievements

To characterize novel microRNAs (miRNA) related to obesity and diabetes in cats, we identified the feline miRNA expressed in white adipose tissue (WAT) and exosome with next-generation sequencing. In WAT, we identified 169 of novel feline miRNAs that could regulate expression of their target genes including angiogenesis, adipocyte differentiation and inhibition.
