Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have studied the genetic analysis of the Δ6 desaturase (FADS2) polymorphisms, alter desaturase activity in Japanese individuals, on the metabolic activity of 3-/6-polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA). In addition, we are comparing the relationship between the dietary PUFA ratio and genetic polymorphisms using an in vivo evaluation method in 53 Inflammatory Bowel Disease Japanese patients.
