Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we demonstrated that Salmonella anti-inflammatory type III effector SpvC, a phosphothreonine lyase, contributes to bacterial proliferation in the spleen in the mouse model of systemic infection. We also revealed that other Salmonella type III effectors, SseK1, SseK2 and SseK3, regulate NF-κB activation in the host cell.
