Outline of Final Research Achievements

To examine the role of vitamin D receptor (VDR) in parathyroid cell proliferation, parathyroid tissue specific knockout of VDR was performed using Cre-lox P system in mice. The penetration of VDR knockout in parathyroid was not enough, so that hyperparathyroidism was not developed in these mice.
