Outline of Final Research Achievements

We established the scanning method of excretory MR pancreatography using 3Tesla MR. MR pancreatography with heavily T2-weighted three-dimensional fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (hT2W-3D-FLAIR) could visualize the main pancreatic duct after intravenous gadolinium-based contrast material administration. We evaluated hT2W-3D-FLAIR pancreatography comparing with usual MR pancreatography in 8 healthy volunteers. Optimal delay time was 2 hours after contrast material administration. And the visualization of the main pancreatic duct was most superior in the pancreatic body.
