Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we revealed that bone morphogenetic protein (BMP)-7 has protective effect for small-for-size (SFS) liver graft injury in rat SFS liver transplantation. Our data and further elucidation of a mechanism of BMP-7 function contribute to a new treatment for small-for-size liver graft injury after living donor liver transplantation without portal inflow modulation.
