Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we proved that capacity to control acute inflammation response is different in various dialyzers and that vitamin E-coated dialyzer and Ethylene-co-vinyl-alcohol (EVAL) membrane dialyzer could improve survival. Therefore, coating substances that have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation effects on the surface of membrane could lead to development of a new treatment method.
However, There are a lot of problems to be elucidated and we will continue our study in order to develop a new blood purification membrane more effective in continuous hemodiafiltration.
