Research Abstract

本研究は、母乳のアレルギ－疾患発症抑制効果について、多目的出生コホ－トの前方視的デ－タを用い、母親の育児内容（母乳か混合か）と、児のアレルギ－疾患（気管支喘息とアトピ－性皮膚炎に限定）との関連を検証することが目的であった。特に、母乳育児の期間とアレルギ－疾患の重症度に着目した検討を行い、本邦に根強く残る母乳神話の是非に1石を投じつつ、アレルギ－発症へのより具体的な超早期対策を講じることを目指した。最終的に、アレルギ－疾患の児と親を支えるサポ－トシステムに関した、母子保健領域への提言が期待された。
前年度までの予備的調査では、①母乳のみ群　②混合群　③断乳群　における児の気管支喘息とアトピ－性皮膚炎の発症割合に有意差は見られなかった。また、生後14ヶ月と24ヶ月において、食物アレルギ－が認められた児の割合は③断乳群で有意に低い、といった結果が得られていた。
2013年度は前年度同様に対象家族の追跡を行う予定であったが、研究代表者の移籍と被災地支援への専従に伴い、cohortの運営管理の継続が困難となった。この先、研究分担者によってdataのPC入力と入念なdata cleaningを終えることが出来れば、追加デ－タを用いた解析も可能かと想われる。
