Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The chloric gas and phosgene are used widely in the chemical industry field. There are also more possibilities that these are used by terrorism as a chemical weapon. However, determination method of exposure by these toxic gases is not established. Model protein was exposed to a sodium hypochlorite and digested by the proteases. The digested peptide mixture was injected to LC-MS/MS. To compare the peak area of exposed and non-exposed samples, a few peptides that peak area decreases significantly were found. LC-MS/MS analysis was carried out using the mass number which presumed chlorine to have combined. However, we did not determine the chlorine combined peptides.
