Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To visualize the informational processing in CNS, we planned to device a method that enable us to analyze the activities of all individual neurons in living C. elegans. To do this, we improved a microscopy system, optimized Ca2+ probe and image processing including tracking neurons by pattern matching. By using this system, we succeeded in evaluating more than 20 individual neurons and in observing a synchronous activity.
