Research Abstract |
A continuous and nonlinear presentation system is proposed for improving instruction efficiency in university lectures. An instructor can control the presentation transition branch with this system on the fly according students' interest and understanding. A lecture on fundamentals of computers is selected to evaluate the system. Experimental results show that continuous transition with up-down scrolling offered by the presented system is evaluated better than existing page-wise transition and than extreme magnification used in canvas presentation. Most of examinee students preferred the presented system rather than existing PowerPoint slides as instruction media in their lectures.
